Welcome to Michelle Duncalfe Counselling

Michelle Duncalfe Counselling is a virtual counselling practice offering compassionate, client-centered support for individuals navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, family dynamics, emotional overwhelm, and personal growth. Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, the practice focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel genuinely heard and understood.

Using CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and somatic-based approaches, Michelle works collaboratively with clients to explore patterns, strengthen boundaries, process difficult emotions and experiences, and support nervous system regulation. The goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, build emotional awareness, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

All sessions are offered virtually across British Columbia.

What to expect

Starting counselling can feel vulnerable, especially if this is your first time reaching out for support. Michelle strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, respected, and able to show up exactly as they are.

Counselling is collaborative, compassionate, and paced in a way that feels manageable and supportive. Sessions are individualized to each client’s needs and goals. Some sessions may focus on emotional processing and self-exploration, while others may involve building coping strategies, strengthening boundaries, or developing tools for emotional regulation and relationship challenges.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out before beginning counselling, and you do not need to be in crisis to seek support.
